MUII Plus Honorary Masters fellow Bridgious Walusimbi of Medical Research Centre/ Uganda Virus Research Institute and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine was awarded a MSc degree Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from University of Manchester. Bridgious who is supported by the Royal Society funding was congratulated by Peter Clayton, the vice president and Dean at Faculty of Biology Medicine and Health upon passing with a classification of distinction.
With great pleasure, MUII Plus centre manager, Prof. Alison Elliott also congratulated Bridgious upon his success. Thanking MUII Plus for the opportunity of having a masters training in Bioinformatics and systems Biology at University of Manchester, Bridgious said,
“….. There are simply no words to describe how much I have learnt over the past one year. It has really given me a firm bioinformatics foundation and I am super confident that the skills and knowledge that I have attained will be very integral to my next stage (s) in research..”
Imperative to note is that, creating opportunities for young scientists and producing scientific results is a priority at MUII Plus.
